Q.What is pressure and temp of supre critical boiler ?
Ans. Boiler operating pressure is more than critical pressure is know as super critical boiler. (Critical point is 221.2bar and 374.15 degree Celsius).
at critical point, density of water and steam is same. the boilers are designed for supercritical because it gives high efficiency. parameters are around 570 degree MS temp. but it is recommended that it should maintained up to 540 degree for metallurgical point of view. high temp will leads to abnormalities in pressure parts. so maintain it upto 235-240bar n 540degree
