Q. What is fuction of 'preheter" in the boiler???

Ans. Air preheater is used to heat the air which is used for the combustion of fuel. The airpreheater uses the heat going out with flue gas.By this efficiency of the cycle also increases.

• 1)air preheater is a heat recovery device it is used for atmospheric air warm up with the help of exaust flue gases air preheater incresed air temperature and incresed boiler efficiecy.

•  In thermal power plant there are two type of preheater user one is air preheater that's used for heating SA & PA air before enters into the wind box and mill corrosponding with the help of APH which takes heat frm flue gas and it situated on flue gas path below the economiser. And another are codensate heater and feed water heater which are situated condensate path and feed water path corrosponding. In which heat transfer from exhaust steam to water.
