ont worry, aftr passing out from NPTI i got my first dept in CHP. many people have perception that since i'm falling in executive category during GET n why to start with CHP?? Dude the ans is CHP,AHP,DM PLANT are heart of power plant. any failure of system would tends to failure to run plant. make opportunity in CHP, find out types of idlers,pullies, cold joint, hot joints of belts, chp plc etc. go in DM plant know abt bomb calorimeter,proximate analysis,ultimate analysis... its grt to see this during start of ur career. my journey was CHP->AHP->BOILER- ...So its challenging n knowledgeable to u

,its a gud opportunity as CHP is the first step ,its a tough journey but not impossible for u to switch ,just try to discuss and learn more abt power plant boiler auxillaries along with ur duty as CHP maintenance engineer .Its a myth that a person joined in a particular section can't switch
