Q .how to calculate excess air? And pls give formulas...!
Ans. excess air should b 35-40 % excess
Air = 100/23 [ ( 8/3xC + 8H + S ) -O ] kg/kg of fuel
Excess air = 02 % / 02 % - 21 * 100
theoretically access air is 15% more than stoichiometric A/F ratio
Excess air is calculated trough this formula( o2/21-o2)*100
Percent of oxygen running condition/21-percent of oxygen running condition*100. Ex-4.5/21-4.5*100=27.27%. Actual percentage of oxygen 20to25%.
To calculate excus air there are two formula one is o2 /21 - o2 another is Theoretical co2 / actual co2 - 1 both u multiply by 1oo .
